Sage Grouse x
Sabethes Cyaneus (2019)

Starting from the challenge to mix different elements from two different animals together, I chose two of the most exotic animals I have seen: the Greater Sage-Grouse and the Sabethes mosquitoes. With the bird's beautifully patterned feathers and the mosquito's spiky legs, I started out with making collages. Then, later on, I made 3D models on computer and printed them out.
The final forms after being combined together give the sense of danger.
