Yùnqì (2019)

Inspired by the fortune stick ritual commonly found in Chinese temples, I wanted to offer people receiving bad luck results a charm to encounter their unfortunately predicted fate and to give them some hope that things will be better. The visual elements came from some of the most popular charm items that are believed to bring luck in Chinese culture such as a calabash and Pixiu.
